I first went to Elvia Oct 2023. In my research for a tattoo artist, I came across Elvia's Instagram and was immediately taken with her designs. I was inspired by one of her small flash designs and wanted something larger and custom. She listened to my general ideas and came up with a beautiful piece on my thigh. The whole process from design to inking was smooth and seamless. She made me feel welcome and comfortable. I am 1000% happy and in love with my piece and I will be going back for another piece and potentially more in the future. She has gained my trust and respect. A true artist and master of her craft!

Grit n Glory is such a clean and welcoming space. The snacks and great music are a plus! Ive went to MissVampira for all of my previous tattoos, and this was my first time at this studio. Her execution of both her own flash designs, and my own ideas, is always amazing!!! She’s extremely talented, professional, and great to talk to. Just started a sleeve. 10/10!

I've had 4 different tattoos from.3 different artists at Grit n Glory. Most recently my best friend and i got horror themed tattoos from Miss Vampira. We had the best time! She was patient and kind and with a very light hand! (Tattoos barely hurt) The studio is an amazingly comfortable space with a warm and welcoming bad ass atmosphere

Possibly my best tattoo experience ever. Charlotte was wonderful in every way. She talked me through the process and what to expect from her during the tattoo, kept me updated, respected my tolerance when I started feeling those extra passes, and was amazingly kind checking that I was safe and feeling okay after our many hour session. The studio was spotless, everyone that came in was so kind and fun. She immortalized my best friend and I can’t wait to go back for another. Also, their after care instructions and goodie bag are stellar. Can’t say enough great things.

TLDR: Go give your money to Charlotte. Charlotte took my rudimentary sketch and brought it to life. It's so beautiful I can't stop admiring it. Before she even finished the colorwork, I designed another one for her to do 😅. The shop is lovely, friendly, and comfortable. Wear layers you can take off or put on for comfort, and if you're from out of town the elevator will be confusing. The door will open once the elevator compartment is in place- watch the window.

Had a mid life crisis and decided to get a tattoo - Megan did an amazing job. She had several designs ready for me, tweaked it a bit, we tried some different sizes and locations then she spent about 5 hours tattooing. Could not have been happier with the results. Met a few of the other artists there and ended up back 2 months later for a nice piece done by Elvia. Needless to say, I’ll be back there for some more work soon. Also - whatever playlist they have on is always great.

I’ve been working with Mary for the last few years and she is by far the best artist I’ve ever gotten tattooed by. She is incredibly talented, kind and fun to spend time with. When I first met her I told her my vision for a full sleeve and she has been bringing it to life piece by piece. I constantly get complemented by strangers on my tattoos and always recommend they schedule a session with Mary. Whether it’s your first tattoo or your 100th, Mary is exactly the kind of artist you should work with!

The space is so nice and relaxing. It’s a little hard to find - there’s a door at 214 to the left of a dermatology store and if you press the little screen on the left side of the door, Grit N Glory is one of the options and then they can buzz you in. I made an appointment with Jessica V by email. She was super responsive and sent me images of the design and made sure it was exactly the way I wanted it. It was easy to book a time using the online system. During the tattoo, Jessica was professional, did a great job, and was really fun to talk to. I love my tattoo! Highly recommend! They also have water and candy for you, which is a nice touch.

i've gotten three tattoos done by Cavan at this shop and they're all my favorites! he was very professional and had tons of fun ideas that helped me decide exactly what i wanted. he was clean and made me feel comfortable with his sanitation (i'm a bit of a germaphobe). i've never gotten more compliments on a tattoo than his, thank you!

I met Mehak at a tattoo convention several months ago, she was just an awesome person and I loved her art. I decided to make the trip up to New York to get tattooed by her, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Mehak is wonderful, she was attentive, genuinely nice, and the piece she drew up for me was beautiful. I’m so happy with my new tattoo and I will definitely be going back in the future to see her again. This is also my second time at grit n glory, and I have had great experiences both times. Everyone at the shop has always been accommodating and friendly, the shop is also clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend the shop and Mehak, and will be back myself in the future.

Recently got my first ever tattoo with Mehak B. here and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better first experience. Mehak was incredibly kind, attentive, and knowledgable throughout the entire process. I've been getting tattoos at Grit N Glory in NYC for years now, and I always make the trip from DC because it's 1000% worth it. From the moment I walk in, the staff is super friendly and welcoming and has the best vibe from any tattoo studio I’ve visited. Elvia Guadian is my go-to artist, and she’s absolutely amazing. Every time, she takes my ideas and turns them into something even better than I imagined. Her attention to detail in every tattoo is incredible, and she always makes sure I'm comfortable throughout the whole process. Every artist here is incredibly talented so If you're looking for a top-notch tattoo experience, I can't recommend Grit N Glory and Elvia enough. I’m beyond thrilled with every piece Elvia’s done for me and will definitely keep making the trip from DC for more.

I went to Charlotte for a coverup of a heart that was quite dark. I don’t know how she did it, but she absolutely transformed it and created the most beautiful piece of art! She is so patient, kind, and will go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable. A true professional. I highly recommend her and any other artist at this shop! Their aftercare instructions are also very detailed and their goodie bags are an adorable touch. Can’t recommend this place enough! (Thank you so much Charlotte!!!❤️)
